Is that what we are calling a solid start now? 102 pitches and 9 baserunners in five innings? Dang. Expectations of starting pitchers keep getting more and more diluted.

I'm convinced they will hit the cover off the ball on the road before going ice cold in their next game at home again.

I was impressed with Karns' performance. That's a litterbox, and in 5 innings, he gave up 1 run, 5 hits, and had 7 K's.

I'll take it for a 3-5 starter. More than solid, actually.
