3 games with the Tigers and a makeup with the Twins. Neither are particularly good teams so a nice little 5 game win streak would feel great right now. Offense puts up 5 or 6 a game, pitching holds at around 3 or 4. I'm in for that.

Tigers aren't good and they I think are still missing Miggy Cabrera. Also Lenny Martin had been good for them and hes hurt too. No reason not to take two this weekend

Manny Acta is managing and Ichiro is the bench manager. Still can't figure out why Ichiro suits up each game and does pre-game with the team but he's not allowed to be in the dugout? I don't get why he can't be in the dugout during game play and why he can only watch the game on the tube in the work out room. I read where there is a limit to the number of coaches in the dugout? His job title is something like "special adviser to the chairman" so I guess that is the same as some kind of coach or something I guess.

It's going to be a pretty rough 24 hrs.+ for the Mariners and Tigers. 3 games in a little over 24 hours has got to be taxing for both teams and their pens. A real test for Acta today but at least he's had a fair amount of managing experience. Still, it's going to be rough on the players and then they play the twins on Monday (originally their day off). Go M's and hang in there today, tomorrow AND Monday.

Yikes-Not used to seeing this kind of start for the M's offense. Usually Dee or Jeans gets on base with either a hit or walk and not 1-2-3 out in order. Don't think this happens very often. Hope the M's get Boyd figured out real quick today.

Rough 1st inning for Marco- a couple walks and loaded the bases. Offense set down in order in the 2nd inning. Not a good start to this marathon weekend.
