Tough to call anything a big series at this point in the season but nows maybe a time to figure out more of what this team can/will be.

It’s kind of the catch 22 of them re whatevering they labeled it. The offense was really really good on paper if they hit their potential which they have obviously but they don’t have a legitimate big league pitching staff which isn’t a big deal if the offense wasn’t performing at a historic clip.

Mariners must 100 percent NOT GET SWEPT in this series, even if they lose this series take at least 1 of these games... It's so important to not let Houston bitch slap us and laugh there way outta here taking all 3 of these games... That's not gonna be good heading forward if that happens... This is the time to show they can compete with the division champs ... SHOW SOMETHING !!!! I know it's a marathon, but just from a standpoint of showing this is a different M's team, they gotta compete in this one...

Imagine being told in 2014 that by 2019 one of the most lopsided pitching match-ups the Mariners are to face is Felix Hernandez vs. Justin Verlander.

Felix at 28 was coming off of the best season of his career, and Justin Verlander at 31 was looking like his career was on the decline.

Crazy how things can change.

Under normal circumstances it could be said "Crazy how things can change" but with the Mariners I would venture to say that "Crazy" would be the absolute norm.

I got my wish of an overhaul. Gone are Zunino, Cano, Cruz, Gamel, Segura, Span, Heredia.
I like the guys the M's acquired.

I'm NOT too worried about a loss to the Astro's.
going 1-2 or 2-1 is fine, only regret is going 0-3.




At 13-3, it is time to stay positive.
