I could see bye and buy both being used in this situation, but for some reason bye looks weird lol.

Same type of "bye" as in "week off" "game off" first round bye. Looks normal to me and it's exactly what you want in most cases.

With a first round conference tourney bye I don't see any way they are not in even with a 1 and done in Big 10 tourney but just in case, people need to hope there aren't a few Cinderella runs in other conference tourneys by teams below Nebraska.

It just means their not in a Play In game.

They are just 6th to last in if that makes any sense. A loss to Ohio St in the Big 10 Tourney could knock them back to Last Four In (Play In). A loss to Purdue could knock them out.

A lot of that depends on what the 13 teams below them do in their tourneys.

Auto-bids can reduce the number of spots currently available to Last Four Byes and Last Four In's.

Huskers need one more to be a sure thing Bye if there are a couple of cinderella auto-bids. I think the worst they can do is fall back to Play In if they lose to Ohio St.
Lose to Purdue would be a different story.

It may hurt Nebraska but I am a Georgetown fan and wouldn't mind seeing a deep Big East tourney run to maybe get them in. A first round win against Creighton would be music to my ears.

if I was Nebraska just to be safe i would try to win 1-2 games conference tourney wise just to be safe. If another team makes a run they could steal a spot. so your not sweating next Sunday about being in your sweating about getting the safe bracket

Where is Georgetown at in Nebraska?

Well, there are some apartments called the Georgetown Apartments in Lincoln.

Was raised a Georgetown basketball fan so GO HOYAS!!! At least I am not a Creighton basketball/Husker football fan or a Kansas basketball/Husker football fan like many people around here are. I wouldn't cheer for an instate rival or other program in same conference.
