That would explain it.... did it happen when he inexplicably peal back blocked on a goal line run a few weeks back??

I gotta be honest I'd hate to see him retire...

Most Broncos fans knew Manning was injured and just not right towards the end of the year but the Colts deserved the win and nothing should be taken away from them.

I knew there would be a report like this. If true, the Broncos did not accurately report injuries.

Bum leg

Every time he tried to throw deep it caused lots of pain

He probably should not have played.

My only issue is that Peyton/Doctors actively tried to suppress the injury report.

I know guys like Peyton/Brady/Brees/Rodgers type veteran have to be dragged from the field.

But, I think he hurt his team by playing with a hidden injury.

The team doctor owes responsibility to the Broncos....not Peyton.

If you go back and watch the game, you can see him grimace in a lot of pain each time.

I am surprised the CBS guys didn't pick it up.

He has been on the injury report since that game. I am unaware of them having to disclose exact diagnosis. If that is a rule then Belichick has only violated it 2,351,345 times.

His quad tore itself, when it found out it was the playoffs.

Calm down grandpa, it was a joke.

I am relieved actually that it was not his neck.
This means he is less likely to retire yet. He is a warrior.

Pretty obvious a lot was wrong. Every time they showed a replay of him throwing the ball it looked like he was in total agony.

Arizona and Denver really got robbed of the chance to compete this year but thats the NFL for you.

heres the report

Sources tell ESPN's Adam Schefter that Peyton Manning has been playing through a torn right quad, specifically the rectus femoris, for the last month.
Manning sustained the injury during the first half of a Week 15 win at San Diego and the bruising reportedly spread to the back of his leg. In the four games since then, he threw a paltry four touchdowns and was intercepted four times. In the 13 previous games, he threw 36 touchdowns against 11 interceptions. An inability to drive off his plant leg may have contributed to the drastic downturn in effectiveness and arm strength. However, Manning was practicing in full and it's worth noting that a "strain" is by definition a tearing of the muscle. Manning could not have played through a complete tear of the muscle. The future Hall of Famer still heads into the offseason with plenty of question marks.

So Rodgers>>>>>>Peyton:suds:
