Big loss. This sucks.
Sucks... now we're thin at DT behind Cox and Jernigan.
Yeah huge blow!
Im sure they'll go shop the market and find a reliable back up.
Hopefully the Dolphins have someone who wants out.
Guy, you must be a mind reader. We signed a DT from Miami.
Eagles sign veteran defensive tackle, make other roster moves
I was thinking maybe one of the guys currently on the squad, but maybe this guy didn't get retained because of the "tank for Tua" strategy being employed.
Looking at their 2018 stats, Spence did lead the Dolphins' DTs in sacks, so he might have been the best guy we could have gotten anyway.
Spence isn't a bad player ... he's just not starter material. In a #3 or #4 reserve DT role it's not a bad get for the Eagles at this point in time. We're very lucky that we were able to resign Jernigan. That's why depth is so important in this league.
Just based with what I see on paper I think that moving Jernigan up to start and rotating in Spence is a good approach. Hell....Spence has never lined up next to a guy like Cox....maybe he will benefit.
Just so long as he is not Ngata LOL
And they still have Ridgeway who they actually traded for so I don't think its going to a let down for this group.
