I used to think Madden was one of the elite managers. But I have heard too many story’s from his former players that say otherwise.

I say look elsewhere...

The Bum AB has been the highlight of the game so far.

Loved the standing O. And against Kershaw to boot.

And Kershaw was trying to groove one for Bum. Classy.

I liked that too. Was listening to Miller and Fleming on the radio and they were talking about the Kershaw/Bum matchups and how they felt it was the best rivalry in the Giants/Dodgers rivalries.

Game was horrible, but the post-game stuff was good. All-around good vibes at the yard, glad I was able to go and see the end of the Boch era.

Really did feel like today was the end of the old Giants. I think now is as good of time as ever to just rip off all the band-aids and move on.

Can we forfeit?
By the look of this 3 game series, I'd say they forfeited 3 days ago.

I missed today's game because I was too busy playing in a pickup softball game for the first time in almost 20 years. Let's just say that my hitting after all that rust was almost as good as the Giants' in this series. Yup . . . it was that bad.

I work with a lady who grew up with him.

True story.

He was probably playing golf.

If the Giants had swept the Dodgers, or even played competitively, they may have thought we’re only a tweak or two away. No such illusions now, if there were ever such thoughts. The Dodgers are a much better team and organization than the Giants right now. With new leadership, we can head in that direction. Gonna be more pain before any gains are made.

He was allegedly committed to a prior family event that has been long-planned. I believe him, I can't really imagine Cainer missing it otherwise. Nate Schierholtz was there and left on bad terms with the team and Bochy for gosh sakes.

I think there was pretty decent gains this year. After the disaster that was 2017, the Giants have only gone up. I don't think the worst is ahead at this point.

And he represented the 2012 Championship. But he was traded for Pence. He wasn’t actually on the team during the playoffs that year.
