it’s decided Rodgers gets it, Mahomes repeats this year, kinda messed up, no?

It's hands down Rodgers this year.

Stats wise and value to his team.

Packers have Adams and a bunch of dudes who can't catch at receiver and then some good running backs.

The Chiefs have backs(though they rarely use them it seems) and about 7 pass catchers that would instantly surpass anyone not named Adams on the Pack.

Oh and the chiefs run D could actually stop me from rushing for 100 yards I think.

I feel gross.
Chiefs might have a better D (although not on a yards per play basis or red zone D basis) but their oline and running back situation is pretty awful. You put Jared Goff on the Chiefs and we're 9-7

I think it's a tie just because Mahomes has made critical plays to finish games and run out the clock. The Chiefs have seldom had to punt and pray while holding onto a small lead at the tail end of games.

I know Rogers has better stats and I wouldn't be bothered at all if he wins MVP, I just don't think he's been under as much pressure as Mahomes.

"under as much pressure?" Rodgers = Packers
Mahomes gets more media attention so that I can agree with you from that aspect but Rodgers has more pressure on his to perform. Mahomes just throws it deep to Hill and problem solved

we taking about an old school QB , an accurate QB, with years of experience. And has advantage of playing in frigid/snowy weather . Vs probably the most versatile QB in league , who uses more than just his arm to complete a play.

but wtf do I know. Sheli Manning has 2 rings , and MVP of them. And cough!!! Is going to be a hall of famer.

anything goes these days... analytics!!

Yeah but you put Goff on the Pack and they may win 5 games.

Can you imagine Goff a guy who basically cant throw, throwing to a guy like Scantling who basically cant catch?

Not good.

Also Chiefs running backs are not awful. They just refuse to use them.

Despite being nowhere near elite, I'm 99.99% sure that Eli makes the Hall of Fame. Who here can honestly say that they watched football week in and week out and thought to themselves that Eli Manning is one of the best QB's to ever play the game? He's for sure going to make it, though.

If you're trying to sell that Rodgers is just an old school pocket passer that doesn't use his legs, you're off base. They've played 2 games in Green Bay in Dec, one was cold and the other had snow...2 games...and I'm guessing KC has played in 1 or 2 games with similar conditions.

Honestly, MVP is an award that doesn't mean much...that pyramid with the football on top is what their goal should be.

If you compare the toys each has to play with, Rodgers most definitely.

Yeah, I think it's going to be Rodgers. Voters are going to look at his slightly better stats, too, and I think that sentimentality will be a factor as well. Rodgers might not have many prime years left, but Mahomes surely will have plenty more opportunities to win the MVP.

looking at the numbers, Rodgers has it by quite a bit.
Better completion %
More TD's
Less INT's
Better rating
Less sacks
Rodgers even has more rushing TD's than Mahomes ans less fumbles.

I mean absolutely no disrespect to Rodgers but when I compare the 2 I’m thinking of what Sam rothstein said about Nicky in Casino. You go out Nicky with a knife he will come out you with a gun! We watched mahomes mature from the battle vs Brady. Now someone has to take it away from him, and imo it ain’t Rodgers . That’s what MVP is to me!

CEH is good and used. And hurt.

The rest not so much imo but I'm love to be wrong there.

Rodgers year.......

I hate the guy,but its his....

And on another note, you if any of the top 12 qbs wereput on the ir,their team team would not the same.......Theyd most likely be a mid to bottom of the league team.....
So thee most important position in the NFL is the qb......

Its kinda sad to think that there may not be a different positional player to the MVP again.....

There's tons of pressure on Rodgers. He's deemed as one of the greats to play but his black mark is the playoff failures outside of his only title/appearance.
