You really think that's the Cubs? I love what Arrieta did last year, but don't you think that rotation lacks a starter or three in order to contend in a pretty competitive division?

Apparently they have the money to sign both Lester & Sherzer. We'll see if it happens. I really don't think it matters. The Cubs always seem to find a way to lose.

I guess you missed the post about the Cubs being interested in either Lester, Shields or Scherzer. Maybe even 2 of them.

I don't know. Adding those two to the rotation would presumably make the Cubs formidable. Interesting possibilities.

We'll be lucky to add just one of them. But I could also see the Cubs packaging away a few prospects for another starter.

Now they're saying this tampering investigation won't be complete by Opening Day? Don't know how they can stretch this out. How long does it take for them to determine whether someone called him or not? Besides the worst they'll do is take a draft pick or like a $25k fine.

Kind of bush for the Rays to do this (although they are probably headed back to be a bush league team anyway, like the Phils!).
