Very true. Seattle's front office is filled with boneheads. One of the best pitchers of his generation will never even pitch in the postseason because they couldn't field a competent team around him in his prime. His Cy Young season, he won a grand total of 13 games.

It's criminal what the M's org did to his career.

To be fair Bumgarner in 2014 had perhaps the best World Series for a starter in history. No one's ever had one better including Kershaw.

Some blame goes to Felix for not being able to reinvent himself (so far) after his usual stuff has gone south. If Felix were any good in 2016 and 2018 maybe the M's make the playoffs those years.

Bumgarner went 2-0 as opposed to RJ's 3-0, but Bumgarner got a save in his relief appearance, whereas RJ got the win...the only difference regarding record is Bum came in when his team was leading in game 7, whereas RJ came in when his team was down. Also, Bum's relief appearance was 5 innings, while RJ's was 1.1 innings.

Numbers wise, it can be argued Bumgarner's WS was more dominant - more innings, better ERA, WHIP, BAA, K/BB
