I just think he deserves his own thread
If I can get real for a second. The best memories of theCanucks is the 2011 run.
Because your other favourite team Boston won the cup?
Lol. The love of Boston came later. 2 years later but later. It started with watching late night sports recap shows at St. Paul's hospital.
After game 6 and I remember that the SSM were jerking off Toronto.
Then the game 7 meltdown commences. Then they had the rangers next.
They took them out.
That is how it got started
Ohhhhh so you were on drugs

He was okay. One of the few goalies to ever get a mega contract with a lot of money and a lot of years. He played well, but even overlooking the injury history, he didn’t quite live up to it.
He’s still costing the Canucks $9mil / 3 years.
At least he’s a pleasant guy. It would really be rubbing salt in the wound if he Milan Lucic-esque.
It was a front end-loaded contract. The cap hit is the major impact, you're right. The entire contract type was brilliant and is presently outlawed in the NHL, for precisely this reason. He’s not actually costing the team. It’s saving the team money as it takes up cap space (which I am thrilled we can’t waste). They don’t pay him the full amount.
