Well.... After losing last night (how often does someone need to remind them that scoring 1 goal a game IS NOT ENOUGH?!?!) The Kings are outside of the playoff bubble. Tied in points with Calgary (though Calgary has the ROW tiebreaker) and 1 point behind Winnipeg (thanks for nothing Minnesota)

Kings still theoretically control their destiny but it would have been a lot easier to have won last night. Edmonton will not be happy about that 8-2 win last week. LA, Winnipeg & Calgary each have 3 games left and they are all on the same nights. Calgary plays Arizona & Winnipeg plays St. Louis tonight. Lose tonight and LA's playoff hopes are no longer in their control.

I don't see anyone other than Quick starting tonight.

If they lose tonight, they do not belong in the playoffs anyway. If you can't handle Edmonton with the season on the line, what's the point?

The season will probably come down to he game in Calgary. San Jose is having a complete organizational meltdown and should have cleaned house last season.

I was surprised to see such tired legs and a general lack of effort last night. Every time I say "3 years of excruciating playoffs have ground this team to the nub," they come back with a vintage performance. I think the wine two more and lose one (in Calgary). So I guess we'll need some help!
