This Raspberry/Burgundy Red 1936 Dodge Hemi Pickup is the ultimate high dollar Street Rod. During the frame off, ground up restoration, this Pickup was supplied with all the modern goodies you can think of.

Some of it's many highlights are the digital
gauge package, air ride suspension and it's Hemi motor!

The Red Ram 270 Hemi engine is tied in to a 350 Turbo transmission, a MSD ignition system, a Holley 4 barrel carb and TONS of chrome and polished aluminum. Also as an added bonus the Pickup has and A/C and heating system with an additional fan installed. This truck has only 625 miles on its' restoration!
The Raspberry/Burgundy Red paint job is extremely nice as well as the wood and stainless steel strips in the trunk bed. The beautiful front end features a stainless grill as well as the original re-chromed ram hood ornament.
A remote system was added to this pickup as well! Remote operations include the doors and truck bed!

Additional features:
  • 4 wheel disc brakes w/ drilled and slotted rotors
  • Rack and pinion steering
  • Mustang II style front end w/ chrome control arms top and bottom
  • Air Ride on all for corners
  • Boyd Steering Wheel
  • Boyd Wheels
  • Billet handles and pedals
  • Power Windows

I was researching what a Dodge truck with a Hemi and customized would sell for because I'm looking at one here in Baton Rouge for sale.

The one I'm looking at is not quite as nice as this one. This one is selling for $46,000.

The truck I am looking at is a 1937 Dodge and the motor in it is a 426 Hemi.....that red truck has a 270 Hemi. Quite a difference in H.P.

But that red truck is flawless....that paint job is incredible!

The truck I'm looking at is listed at $65,000. That red one is $19,000
less!

I could have it shipped here for about $5 grand and still save 14k over the black one.

The real difference in the two trucks are the engines....one has a 426 hemi the other a 270 hemi.

I'm sure the 270 is plenty enough engine for that little truck.

Decisions, decisions....:gaah:

I'd go with the bigger engine.

I'd almost be afraid to drive the red one, it looks so nice,,, almost.

Isn't the 426 the holy grail of Hemi's?
It's an investment. A fun one but, an investment non the less
Or I'm all wet on this one

Only if it is in an original car with all matching numbers. They made the 426 Hemi for several years and they were put in many different vehicles.

It also depends what car it was in....a Plymouth Belvedere with a 426 Hemi is nowhere near as valuable as say a Plymouth Baracuda with that same engine.

As for the truck I'm looking at....having the 426 hemi in it is nostalgic and cool....but it really doesn't add a lot of value to the truck.

The truck is over priced as far as what the owner is asking. I made him an offer that is considerably less than the 65k he is asking.

He said if it doesn't sell in the next 6 months he would "entertain" my offer.

We'll see. I do like the truck though.

That true enough.
I've read more than a few stories of field/bar finds of Plymouth Valiants with 426's where the authors/buyers were only interested in the engines

Personally I would go with the red. First it looks like a truck and is damn near flawless. The black one looks like an El Camino etc not a truck in my mind.

Yeah the 426 sounds sexy and there is a big premium for matching number hemi cars because the damn thing while being fast was a PIA to keep running. As such a lot of hemi cars got converted to a 440 and the hemi sold to a drag racer.

The 270 is more period correct and while not as many ponies are you going to be taking the car to a strip?

I like Celebrity Motors, They sold a car like one of mine for about $20,000 more than I paid for my copy. That made me happy.

No, give Runenam any kids of negative emoji and he'll follow you liked a redass and just start tagging what ever my last posts were. Doesn't matter what they are.He usually goes back anywhere from 6-8 posts. Although one time it was 42
