I'm pretty sure they're having a huge digital sale right now. There are a lot of options out there. I don't know about offline but there are a lot of good single player games to choose from.

You could get started on the first Wolfenstein. If you like that, there are two more games after that and they're usually pretty cheap. If you're not looking for plot then DOOM is excellent.

I play PC and PS4 so I might not be too much help in this thread.

RBI baseball is worth it if it's free (it was for a while on XBOX) but I bought it on PS4 and it feels a bit like a waste

Master Chief Collection if you like FPS’s. Comes with like 5 full campaigns.
GTA V
Doom

Assassin's Creed Origins will kill a lot of time. You don't really need to know much of the backstory for the series either.

If you are willing to buy a Switch, Breath of the Wild is an amazing game. I bought it on release and am still playing it.
