If they're bad enough to get the #1 pick in a pretty great draft then that is huge. I believe that is the only pick that is protected. If they finish 2-5 it goes to Boston and 6-30 goes to Philly so who knows maybe they're bad enough and get the #1 pick and draft one of these great freshman in CBB

I don't think that's true. Everything I've seen got the Lakers owning their pick if it is #1. I could be wrong though.
