Taking part in a fans' online mock. Trading is unrealistic (for example, SF traded up to 1.5 for first, second, fifth and seventh round picks), and I couldn't find interest in a trade-down at #2 to stay in the top 10. I'm picking for the Rams and Jets (we took on leftover teams to get the mock rolling).

1.1: HOU: Jadeveon Clowney, DE, South Carolina
1.2: STL: Sammy Watkins, WR, Clemson
1.3: JAX: Blake Bortles, QB, UCF
1.4: CLE: Anthony Barr, OLB, UCLA
1.5: SF: Justin Gilbert, CB, Ok St (traded up before the draft started and his targets went #1 and 2 lol)
1.6: ATL: Khalil Mack, OLB, Buffalo
1.7: TB: Johnny Manziel, QB, Texas A&M
1.8: MIA: Jake Matthews, OT, Texas A&M
1.9: BUF: Greg Robinson, OT, Auburn
1.10: DET: Mike Evans, WR, Texas A&M
1.11: TEN: Darqueze Dennard, CB, Michigan State
1.12: NYG: Taylor Lewan, OT, Michigan
1.13: STL: Ha'Sean Clinton-Dix, FS, Alabama
1.14: CHI: Aaron Donald, DT, Pittsburgh
1.15: PIT: Marqise Lee, WR, USC
1.16: DAL: Zack Martin, OT, Notre Dame
1.17: BAL: Eric Ebron, TE, North Carolina
1.18: NYJ: Jason Verrett, CB, TCU
1.19: MIN: Derek Carr, QB, Fresno State
1.20: ARI: Dee Ford, DE, Auburn
1.21: GB: Calvin Pryor, FS, Louisville
1.22: NO: on the clock

Whoever that was that took Lee for PGH should be taken out and shot.

Sadly enough, I'm also picking for the Jets, and I'm really liking who I drafted for them (possibly more?)

1.18 Jason Verrett, CB, TCU
2.49 Donte Moncrief, WR, Ole Miss
3.80 C.J. Fiedorowicz, TE, Iowa
4.104 Ka'Deem Carey, RB, Arizona
4.115 Billy Turner, OT, North Dakota State
4.137 Trevor Reilly, OLB, Utah
5.154 Anthony Steen, OG, Alabama
6.195 Lamin Barrow, ILB, LSU
6.209 Anthony Johnson, DT, LSU (was ignoring him as he had slipped too far, but finally gave in and took him, not sure why everyone was leaving him there?)
6.210 John Brown, WR, Pittsburgh State
6.213 Ross Cockrell, CB, Duke
7.233

The safety was the right move, I hope management makes that move too.

I am conflicted at #13 between S and CB, but their seems to be more value in round 2 at CB than at S.

After the top two, the only one I think can play next season and be a longer term player is Jimmy Ward, and he could be gone in the 1st too!

I think it's more likely for a CB to fall that we like and think there are a lot of solid CB choices with upside in 3-5

I'm stunned that you got EJ in the 5th. I was hearing on the radio (Fast Lane) Friday they think he'll go in the top of the 2nd. I also thought that was a stretch but would be pleased to see the Rams snag him in the 3rd.

He saved me from waiting too long really. I probably should have picked CB where I took Quarles, but there were several left at that point which I had close enough together. Of course, cue the CB run that had me sweating...

I think you are right on the CB vs S debate. I can see Marcus Roberson, Jason Verrett, Bashaud Breeland and LaMarcus Joyner at CB all there in round 2, but I also see Deone Buchcanon and Ed Reynolds there as S in the 3rd.

So something like this:
1a Watkins/Matthews/Robinson
1b Dix/Pryor
2 Verrett

Matthews, Haha, Verrett has been frequent in my mocks. The more mocks I do the more CB depth and less S depth I see. That being said I see CB as a bigger need for the team.

You must be more comfortable with McCleod at FS than I am. Tru and JJ are OK as the base defense CBs, but I'm not comfortable at all with McCleod continuing to start at FS.

It not a comfort with McLeod but even less comfort with the complete hole in the nickel. 3 CB's are a must in todays NFL and I'm more uncomfortable with the CB situation than McLeod.

Let's throw out a theoretical. Let's say Haha and Mike Evans are both available at #13. Then what? I don't think I could pass on Evans that far down.

No question in my head, Haha is the pick. Small debate in my head over Pryor and Evans if they're both available and I still think I grab Pryor (or would trade back to target him at least). I agree that Evans is the next best guy after Watkins and is ahead of the next set of WRs who I don't think are that good. But S is a much bigger need in my opinion, at that point lets take Watkins at 2.
