Crowds & viewership are bigger today than during the Tiger era?dude, do you even remember the Tiger era?
crowds these days are massive compared to those back then for the smaller tournaments.

I looked, you're right....at least for viewership.Crowds & viewership are bigger today than during the Tiger era?
The PGA tour has a serious star power issue and they know it. And I'm sorry but Scottie is not must watch TV.
He is an incredible golfer ..he plays like a machine. The only problem is he acts like one too.
He just does not have the it factor. Spieth is more fun to watch regardless of how bad he is playing.
The PGA tour has to do something.
True, I think that's were that old saying comes from:Nicklaus didn't have much personality either... nor Tiger imo, ftm.
Yes, it does mean that and I hate it. Lifetime ban for all of them works for me. They're all rich anyway. They can play out their careers in Asia or Australia.
I'm still shocked they let him back in. He is a bit of a douche.I am not a fan of this rhetoric around Patrick Reed working his way back to the PGA...mostly because I don't like Patrick Reed.
if it was any other player I think I would appreciate it more.
The PGA tour has never been stronger with talented players. What they lost are the villains. The guys people loved rooting against.I'm still shocked they let him back in. He is a bit of a douche.
But I do think this shows how somewhat desperate the PGA Tour is to get back as much star power as they can.
The regular PGA Tournaments need a jolt ...they seem to be harder to watch.

I respect the way he is doing it. He left LIV and went to earn his way back to the PGA, so that's cool.I'm still shocked they let him back in. He is a bit of a douche.

it would be like the Yankees leaving to join a Japanese baseball league...then wanting to come back to MLBThe PGA tour has never been stronger with talented players. What they lost are the villains. The guys people loved rooting against.
Reed can come back because he didn't violate PGA tour regulations. He can earn his way back through the Euro tour (like others have done to gain PGA tour member status). I don't like Reed, but he's definitely putting in the work to get back.
I'd say it's more about the Tour seeing an opportunity to give a final death blow to LIV than anything else. Get the 4 or 5 guys back that are good and have personality and let the LIV die.I'm still shocked they let him back in. He is a bit of a douche.
