Gave his team a chance to win. Dude can't play defense too.
However. Most of all our losses come at the hands of Stafford not being able to make others around him better. Which has simply been the case his entire career.
Management is in a tough spot here. At times, Stafford looks as good as any QB in the league. Other times, he looks average at best. 10+ years in the league. He is what he is at this point. A talented but maddeningly inconsistent player. He has absolutely no signature wins under his belt and no division championships.

However. Most of all our losses come at the hands of Stafford not being able to make others around him better. Which has simply been the case his entire career.

I cant argue with any of this. He has regressed the last 2 years. Maybe a real OC will get him where he needs to be. I think we will become a run first team going forward. Staff will not need to throw 35-40 short passes a game. Most likely wont be much more than half that and not so short. It would help him greatly if the passing offense was designed to his strengths.

We already had one of those in Scott Linehan. TBH. I really don't think it's going to be any OC to the rescue. The fact is that Stafford isn't very accurate on intermediate to long ball throwing.

If you watched the Seahawks game last night. A perfect example is Russell throwing a perfect deep ball to Lockett that had a ton of air under it. Stafford consistently tries to throw bullet passes from 40 yards out with not a lot of air under it. That doesn't allow his receivers to make plays on the balls. He is counting on his arm strength only.
