That is a quality draft, even if he never let all but Decker walk.

Then 2017 happened. He made sure we all knew his first draft was a fluke. Firing a successful coach for a dickhead that can't coach up players cemented his status as trash.

This has been way overblown. Right after that they shared a hug that part is always cut out. Pleasant basically treated that moment like it was at practice with no cameras, instead of live on TV. Optics are bad, but by all accounts players love to play for him. The fact that Okudah followed that moment up by allowing a 70 yards td is the real concern.

Lions OL conceding 33 total pressures, which San Francisco converted to 19 quarterback hurries and three sacks.

Lions DL accumulated six total pressures and five quarterback hurries.

Both lines have work to do.

I like his block there, and if Goff does not completely misfire on his wide-open TD I think he is getting more talk about how he did on his first game. I hope he gets more than 4 targets in future games.

Goff was definitely targeting Trinity Benson in that drive to get to 25 and the last drive. Should Ty Williams miss some time I would expect to see TB getting more looks and probably even if TW makes it back from concussion protocol.

6 pressures is not ideal, but switching sides with 2 practices and holding his own against Bosa is a huge win. He can't even legally drink!

Also, I would not have believed anyone who said that Jonah Jackson was going to dominate on run blocking but fail horribly at the pass block.

We've seen Reiff and Decker have the same type of games - recall when playing against Vikings for both.

I'm not worried or concerned with Sewell's play as a whole whether he stays at LT or swings back to RT. There'll be growing pains this year and down the road in future years as well.

No player plays a game perfectly.

1st one against Bosa and the second one against Dee Ford. That's pretty damn good and neither of them were expecting those blocks from AR-SB. Nice to see that from AR-SB. That is the type of WR they'll be looking for in the future, imo, but with better speed and separation skills.

Goff needs these first 5 or 6 games just to get acclimated to all that is new for him. Different team, scheme, playbook, players, etc.

Odd isn't it considering his strength coming out of CFB was at pass-pro and not run blocking. He's been better at the latter to date. He had some damn decent pass-pro in this game but I sure as heck didn't keep an eagle's eye on him throughout. Hopefully he improves along with the rest of the OL but Vaitai is and will be the weakest link until he's not playing here anymore.
