Following his successful season at ICC, Boyd signed with Arkansas where he found even more success. In 2018, he rushed for 734 yards with two touchdowns in 12 games, starting eight. In 2019, he rushed for 1,133 yards and eight touchdowns, starting all 12 games. In December 2020, he opted out of the remainder of his senior season and declared for the 2021 NFL Draft. He went undrafted, but has found a new home in the Motor City.

10. C DRAKE JACKSON, DETROIT LIONS

The Lions already have center Frank Ragnow to lead their offensive line, but signing a lineman with as much college success as Drake Jackson is an excellent move regardless of roster situation.

Jackson was the crucial part of a dominant Kentucky offensive line. Since 2018, Jackson has been on the field for exactly 1,000 pass-blocking snaps and has surrendered just one sack. The Kentucky product is also an elite run-blocker, having earned the fourth-highest run-blocking grade among centers in 2020 (85.4).

The lone knock on Jackson is his thin frame, but that did not hinder him against SEC defenses. Not many undrafted free agents are as close to pro-ready as Jackson is.
I would not have expected him to be the signing rated the highest, but I will take it. If we can become the swing lineman that is a huge win.

We did need an interior swing guy so this is great news.

This kid, Jonathan Adams, has KG v2.0 stamped to him, imo. He doesn't possess KG speed but his contested catch ability leaves you feeling pretty good about "what he could become".

WR Jonathan Adams had 11 dropped passes this past year. Led all of FBS.
He makes his money by making the tough contested catches, notching 23 contested catches, best in college football, and tied for the lead with 15 deep catches, only behind first-round selection Devonta Smith. He can abuse corners with his massive catch radius and superb body control, making one highlight after another. The Lions gave Adams $90,000 in guaranteed money to come to Detroit, so they must feel he has a shot at contributing to the team.

Here's more info on the 2021 UDFA class

Kentucky OL Jackson with 31" and Ameer type hands 8 1/4"

Still, worth a read throughout

Catches everything with his hands. Guys were interfering with him and he still made the catches. I dont care about blazing speed so much in that case. You are probably right that Geronimo Allison will be out the door.

Kid had 11 drops. Gonna have to clean that up Big-Time.

Allison still has the Pro experience but Holmes isn't tied to him as Allison was BQ's FA signing.

Maybe two of this years UDFA's make the roster and break out.

With 13 UDFAs and limited funds for signing bonuses, the Lions opted to lean on the guaranteed money strategy to bring players in. In all, the Lions allocated $121,500 in UDFA signing bonuses and $475,000 in guaranteed money— $596,500 in total guarantees for this class (roughly 0.3 percent of the Lions' 2021 salary cap).

If we look back at the Lions' last three UDFA classes, 13 players have made either the 53-man roster or practice squad, and eight of them are still on the current 90-man roster. Five of those 13 players were offered a contract that ranked in the top three, and eight in the top five among Lions’ UDFAs in that cycle.

Players who received more guaranteed money tend to stick around longer in camp but there isn’t a UDFA contract that the Lions will feel married to if the player doesn’t perform. The best example of this is 2019 UDFA Ryan Pope, who was given $165,000 in guarantees but was dominated in camp and was eventually cut.

So while Javon McKinley, Sage Surratt, Jonathan Adams Jr., Beckett, and Kraemer are in good spots (all with at least $55,000 in guarantees) the odds are not all of them make it onto the roster in any capacity. While players like Drake Jackson and D’Angelo Amos shouldn’t be dismissed too quickly.

Difficult to figure out who stays and who goes but I'd expect 2/3 WR stick with the team in some fashion and most likely Kraemer and Drake Jackson .
