Lions get this years number 1, this years number 2, and next years number 2 and 3.

Patriots select TE TJ Hackysack from Iowa.

I'll believe it when I see it somewhere other than here. No TE is worth that much.

Would you spend a #8 pick on Gronk?

I think the TE at 8 is more believable than Quinn getting that much value from the Patriots on a trade. He loves to toss picks to them.

Agreed. Never on any TE

Actually we would still be short by a couple hundred points according to the chart. Hoody robs us again!

Since the Patriots have their own and Chicago's 2nd Round piucks, which second rounder is it? #54 or #64?

Your trade would be more believable if you had the Lions getting the Patriots 1st and the Bears 2nd and giving the Patriots the Lions second and third rounders next year along with the #8.

No way. Trade chart value still had the Pats getting the better of the deal. No 8 is worth 1400. No 32 and 54 are only worth 600 and 350 roughly. Following years 2 and 3 are only worth about 250 combined unless the Pats have a crappy year. If they have an average year then maybe 450 which would be an even trade.

Clearly you don't understand how much Quinn likes to get housed by the hoodie in draft trades.

If I knew he was 100% going to be as good as Gronk? Hell yeah. He was one of the greatest TE's ever.

He was the Megatron of tight ends. Like CJ, his numbers alone do not compare to many of the HOF TEs but he was constantly double and triple teamed and was still unstoppable.

Even the greatest TE ever isn't worth that early a pick when trying to improve a team that is deficient in so many areas.

You must be talking about the Packers. They will be drafting a TE most likely and are severely deficient in a lot of areas. Basically without Rodgers, they blow and could border on the worst record in the league if he gets injured early.

I agree. If we take a TE with our first pick (#12) I'll be pissed. If one of the Iowa TEs is available at #30, that I could live with.

That's more like it. I would have guessed one 2nd and a 7th. But if Hoody is in a good mood and feels a little bit guilty about robbing Quinn blind in the Van Noy debacle, he may throw in the extra 2nd.
