Lions sign kicker Matt Prater to three-year deal

Signed to a 3-year deal. I like it. He helped stabilize a pretty bad position last year. Without him, there's no way we make the playoffs. He's got plenty of leg left in him. Good job on this Mayhew. Now let's see what he signed for.

Great move! He was steady once he got some reps in. Shaky start I chalk up to being in rehab and then going straight on a field to play. Give him his off season workouts and training camp and he will be huge asset going forward.

Can not say Prater would of made it, but I get so pissed anytime I think of that Bills game and knowing it was at least a #2 seed they missed out on.

Good signing and will be under rated but locking down a kicker after last year is a smart move. Glad they didn't just try to go on the cheap.

Where are you getting that $3m/yr number from? I haven't seen any financial details disclosed anywhere. Albeit I think we will see this deal fall between $8-10m.

Only one needed is watching Gym Shorts getting carried off the field. Worth every penny to not see that again.
