Lineup shuffle

I saw a tweet from Shulman today proposing a new lineup now that Panda is back...

Blanco
Belt
Posey
Pence
Panda
Scoots
Craw
Torres/Perez

I do not really follow his logic. Scoots is arguably the BEST #2 in all of baseball. Why take his 2 hits a game and move him down to the 6? That could cost him 4 or 5 ABs a week.

I am not against Belt as a 2 eventually. I think he has potential to eventually be a decent one. Many of us here have said that on many occasions. But right now, I would say he is, at best, the third best option to hit 2 after Scoots and Craw.

I am fine with either Pence/Panda or Panda/Pence. Doesn't make much of a difference to me. Hitting Panda 5 may make more sense, though, since it is nearly impossible to pitch around him. He does not really need protection behind him.

have to agree with Cal ... Our offense seems to have been sputtering somewhat lately ... so he proposes to move the only 'working' piece to the bottom of the line-up. The only thing I can think of is that he's hoping we can get Scoots to the plate with men on base.

THAT part does make sense, but we need both Producers (RBIs) and setters (advance, runs). If we convert Scoots to a producer, we wont have any setters.

I thought about moving Craw into the # 2 spot and moving Scoots down to 6th to knock in runs

I feel Belt is clogging up the middle of the lineup , way too inconsistent
