Lilja to tryout in San Jose

Just spoke with Andreas Lilja’s agent, Todd Diamond, who notified me that Lilja will be taking a try-out with the San Jose Sharks. For those holding out hope that Lilja would appear at Wings training camp this week – despite not being on the bus this morning – well, that proverbial train has left the station. For San Jose.

lol... Lilja was good at lots of things. Killing penalties, blocking shots with his legs, blocking haymakers with his face, and being an all-round safe defensive defenseman (aside from a very famous WCF giveaway).

I'm just not sold on his head anymore, especially at the price he was asking (1.5M, is the rumour). Shea Weber hit him so hard last season, if you ran a CAT scan on Lilja's head you would see Weber's fingerprints.
