Lightning sign Alex Killorn to 7 year deal

The 7 year deal is worth $31.1 mill which works out $4.45 mill per year. Another case of Yzerman looking up another piece of the core.

Yzerman has said that in order to sign the pending RFA's (Kucherov, Namestinkov & Nesterov) that the Lightning would have to make a move to be cap compliment. Bishop & Filppula being the likely candidate to be moved.

Yzerman has added that all is quiet in regards to the goalie situation and would be happy so start the season with both goalies on the team.

I think the salary is fine but i too was a bit surprised with it being a 7 year deal, thought a 5 year deal would of been suitable.

Ya I didn't think yzerman viewed him as core but interesting killorn has more points then toews in the playoffs the last three years of games

That's the thing, Killorn is a good regular season player but takes his game to another level come playoff time.
