It's a major disappointment that the nation was robbed of a matchup of the true top two teams. Hopefully Fields doesn't get injured late in the season in 2020 and we can avoid this.

Agree, this year I just don't think Ohio St could have kept up with this LSU offense though like Clemson couldn't. While I am bummed we didn't get to see the matchup, the best team definitely won this year. We will truly never know but that LSU offense was truly a work of art.

Hopefully this team and Fields learned from their mistakes, they have to play a more sound game. Redzone offense needs to be one of their major focuses next season imo.

    "fact?"

Didn't tOSU have their shot at playing against LSU for the title?
And didn't tOSU lose to Clemson?
Who in turn lost last night to LSU?

So if my calculations are correct, clearly you boys are still a little hung over from watching the game last night!

It doesn’t matter who LSU played — they were winning the National Title.

There offense is basically unstoppable. A RB with almost 2,000 all-purpose yards. Not one, but two WR’s with 1,500+ yards receiving. A ridiculously accurate QB, who has pocket presence and can run.

Burrow set about every record imaginable, but what stuck out to me is — LSU didn’t have one guy break the all-time single season TD record for WR’s. They had THREE guys break the LSU single season record for TD catches:lol:

Oh yeah — and they have Moss at TE.

I tip my cap to LSU. Unbelievable team and so much fun to watch. And the craziest part is — With Burrow, Chase, Jefferson, Fulton, Delpit, Chaisson, etc. all possibly being 1st round picks someday in the NFL. The best player on LSU is a true freshman. Stingley literally locks down half the field to the point teams attack the projected 1st round NFL pick on the other side. Crazy.

And I think my favorite part of LSU is the head coach. I could listen to him talk all day long. I just picture the coach from Waterboy talking.

Great season LSU. congrats. Arguably the best season ever in CFB.

It's clear in today's game that you have to have one of the best offenses in the country if you want to win. It helps to have a great defense, but when it comes to these elite games against the best teams; they're going to score 20-30 points still even in a loss. The days where "defense wins championships" are over.
