Only question I have with Pitre is he plays slot. Can he play outside? I honestly don't know. But Hilton is the slot guy and he's not moving, so any CB has to be outside.

Love the pick for C - I have him in almost all my mocks. Gives you depth at a much needed position, and gives you some flexibility with Karras if he were needed to kick over the guard.

I dont know shit about shit, I just took whoever was at the top of player's available at positions of need. And the punter. I've heard good things about him on Twitter.

Yeah, I've read some stuff about that punter. People might think it's silly, but I would definitely spend a 5th rounder on the guy. There are people that say there has never been a guy with a leg this strong.... I'm not sure how much of this is overhyped, but if you had a guy that could consistently change field position, it would be a hidden factor in big games. It's just too bad he wasn't around when Marvin was coaching - Marvin loved himself some "flipping the field" and winning the field-position battle.

I went with a safety replacement given that Bell and Bates will be in the final years of their deals. Picked up a few pieces for the line with the expectation that the coaching staff would then just switch all of their positions to something they've never played before. And I still get my punter with the last pick.... Though, I think we're going with a punter from a local high school because it's worked well for the past decade.

LOL.

We learned what a leg can do for us. Lock in two potential pro-bowl special teams kickers and we are golden there for the next 12 years.

There wasn't anyone there at 31, or at 35. Was able to parlay dropping down both times into an extra third, which I was able to get an extra 2nd and then picked 3 times in the 2nd round.

Pickens, if healthy, replaces Higgins. So, no need to worry about his contract.

Gordon slots in at DB

McBride becomes the pass catching TE

Salyer gives you depth/youth at OG, and potentially as a swing RT

I think Farrell is good for at least DT depth rotation with Hill.

Weatherford and Corker give you some depth at Safety because one, or both, guys currently contracted will have to go next year - and likely this team will not be spending a ton of F/A - so they will need to hit on the drat this year, and maybe next to get some Safeties.

I would take that draft all day long. Just add that massive leg punter in in the 6th or 7th and I am loven that draft.

tackle reach in the first, as I feel we suck after that first starter or two gets hurt on the OL
couple of LB and DL to keep the defense strong and they were up on the board

a backup RB to compete with Perine (although Treyvon Williams sp?) might be better
a backup QB to compete with Allen (we should really have a veteran backup QB as insurance though)
a backup TE to compete with Sample

This would be about as perfect as you can get, IMO...Immediate need at Safety to replace Bates, potential stud TE for Burrow, OL depth in rounds 3/4, and an additional safety for depth in round 5 (though with Cine on board, could go in a different direction here).

Don't forget to play around with the sliders - there is a pretty solid difference between fan drafting and PFF drafting and so forth. Really interesting to see who ends up sliding when you start changing the formulas.
