Because Hillman can't hold on to the ball in practice, let alone game time. And he's small, not great at blocking or inside running

If CJ were to go down Hillman might get first crack, but the Donkeys would turn to a veteran free agent at some point. They're not pining their Super Bowl season hopes on Hillman. If he can ever hold onto the ball maybe that'll change.
