Being Competitive means winning. All of those games except Auburn the opposing teams had a 2 score lead in the 4th quarter and were salting the game away.

OK St was up 30-14
Alabama was up and won 24-7
tOSU was up 28-3 heading into the 4th quarter

Only Auburn was a competitive game from start to finish.

I'm mildly curious about this. Obviously, no college team could beat an NFL team. But what about a European team (I think they're the reigning German champs)? Frankfurt Universe's QB is some dude named Andrew Elffers who was mediocre at some school called Azusa Pacific. But I think a handful of their players were good enough to get into training camps of NFL teams, they just couldn't make the final cut. I'd be curious about this matchup, and I'd definitely watch it.

against Ohio State it would have been an onside kick recovery and score.
UW fumbled the ball to turn it over with 5 seconds left against Penn State.
uw threw an int with 5 seconds left against Ok St.

they had a chance in all of those.
