nope. this is a backup plan. this is what i thought and i just checked tim panaccio's twitter and it turns out i was right.

the flyers will pursue a goalie and if they can not get one then leighton is the starter. if leighton is the starter they will try to upgrade on defense and they will have plenty of money to do it. good move. smart idea by homer for not letting plan b hit free agency.
