8th - Wilson
16th - Pratt
20th - Davis Gunther

3 LB's in the top 20 of PFF's top ranked LB's.

This also is showing how improved the DL is as well. It's really hard to get good LB play when your DL isn't doing its job of taking up space and eating up blocks. Ogunjobi back at his more natural 3-tech (instead of NT as he was used in Cleveland) and a healthy Reader have really improved the DL, but their trickledown effect is being seen in the growth of the LB's.

Al Golden caught a lot of shit last year after it was revealed that he had a big hand in the 3rd down play calling for the D. But, he has to get some credit here with the development of the young linebackers. I wonder if Duffner has had an impact as well - He was an underrated defensive coach in his prior stop here.

Yeah, but as we've all said, as well, it was hard to call plays when you are working with your 4th, 5th DL and 5th and 6th DB's who were just signed off the street a week ago.

That defense last year was just decimated by injuries. The return of Reader, addition of Ogunjobi, Hendrickson, and then adding in the depth has really helped the LB's run and get to their spots without getting blocked too often. You just can't make plays if the DL isn't doing their job.

Wilson, through 4 games, has 40 tackles, 1 Sack, and 3 INT's.

I mean, if he can keep that kind of production going, that is going to be a Pro-Bowl/All-Pro guy at the end of the year. Let's see how the 2nd "quarter" of the season plays out as teams start to scheme him a bit more on defense.
