Same rules as before, turned out pretty interesting. Both trades were offered to me and they seemed fair so I took them. I think I filled some needs especially with the first three picks.

Trades

#20 to Denver for #28 and 2nd rounder in 2016 (Denver took Malcom Brown)
#113 and Brandon Boykin to Chicago for #39 (If was offered and I thought it was fair)

#28 Jalen Collins CB LSU - Was surprised he was still here at 28. When I dealt back I was targeting Byron Jones who went before Collins.

#39 Jake Fisher OT/OG Oregon - This is a great fit for the Eagles, knows the system, is athletic as hell and can fill in at ROG until Peters retires and then can slide over to Right Tackle with Lane moving to left

#52 Quentin Rollins CB/S Miami OH - I think this kid has a chance to be a very good safety in this league. Doesn't have a ton of experience but has all the tools.

#84 Rashad Greene- WR- Florida St- I wanted to address receiver sooner but every time my pick came up there was not value there. Greene in a normal wide out year is a solid 2nd round pick. He doesn't have the huge size that Chip likes but he can flat out play

#145 Bryce Hager- LB- Baylor (nostalgia pick, the son of Britt Hager)

#156 Terry Poole OG San Diego State

#195 Erick Dargan- S- Oregon

#237 Bryan Bennett- QB- SE Louisiana

Looks like you got good value and filled the needs. Good job. I am curious where the other CBs went? Were Byron Jones, Kevin Johnson, Marcus Peters still on the board in the 1st? 2nd?

Fisher and Rollins are looking more and more like must adds for us. I would love to get a CB in the first and add those two shortly after. Really a great top 3 you ended up with there.

I prefer Tyler Lockett of the smaller more polished WRs, but I'm assuming he wasn't there at the Greene pick. I do like Greene. We should add a WR like that in case Huff doesn't workout and also just to increase our stable.

Peters was still on the board but I like Collins better and quite frankly don't think Chip touches Peters with a ten foot pole, Jones went 27 to New England who traded up and Johnson went 22 to Pittsburgh.

As far as round 2, Rowe was on the board at 39 but gone by 52. I felt after getting Collins it was more important to address oline. I would have taken Rowe at 52 and used him at safety

Lockett was still there however I have Greene ahead of Lockett that is why I took Greene. The receivers really went in packs right before I drafted, Agholor went to Cleveland at 19, Strong went to KC at 18, Parker, White and Cooper off the board top 10 oh an Perrimen went to San Francisco. Then Devin Smith and Dorsett before I drafted at 52. At 39 I really was focused on Fisher. Who when the real draft comes around would not surprise me if he is our pick at 20

So the trade down cost your choice in CBs. At the end of the day, I don't think I like the trade then. Would rather have the CB I prefer.

Lockett produced more with lesser QBs. He is faster. And he is a better return man.

If Collins, Peters and Jones were on the board I would have chose Collins anyway. Peters is a head case not a fit for Chip and I look at Collins as a pure corner vs Jones who I think is more of a safety.

Not impressed with Locketts route running ability. Greene is a precise route runner. Don't really care about return man that is why we have Josh Huff.

What about Johnson? My impression is he would be the consensus pick if the Eagles stayed at 20 and he was still there.

Safety is more pressing than CB, although we need another CB to pair with Maxwell.

I don't know if its ever been more of an obvious need and focus for the Eagles to address the defensive backfield in the draft. I would expect them to go Corner first though as its generally viewed as the harder commodity to find...or at least a player capable of playing both. I wouldn't be surprised to see them pick DBs 1st and 2nd. DBs can start on this team as rookies, while at the other need positions (WR, OG), the Eagles have players that can start on the roster already.

Whaaat? Lockett is always wide open because he runs great routes. He's Antonio Brownish. And I was the first one anywhere to call him that.
