Thompson and a 5th (it was AZs I believe) for Calgary's 4th the Habs had.

Thompson was a solid B6 center, good team guy but good move, he wasn't part of the future. Plus Lewis is ready to play and I'd rather a guy like Thompson move on over scratching one of the younger players who need experience.

Kings have had some success in the 4th round over the years, Martinez, Wagner and King in the last decade or so and going back Blake (1988), Zhitnik (1991), Belanger (1996), Corvo (1997), Visnovsky (2000).

I think for a guy who was a throw in, a B6 guy who filled a role albeit temporarily, a GIII UFA this summer and not in any consideration of plans moving forward a 4th is fine.

Correct. I would rather the ari 5th and a mon 7th over just a cal 4th...

If we were talking earlier rounds ok ...but rather quantity since quality basically gone at that point
