If Kellen Moore drops to the 4th round we almost have to jump on that. Who knows if Dalton can repeat, and if there is an injury we have Gradkowski for Gods sake. Moore would be an outstanding backup, and I think a calculated risk in the draft at the 4th round or of course any later.

I think Moore, if put into a system like Brees could be just as good.

Moore is an outstanding QB, a 4 year starter, great arm, accurate, and a very smart leader. He would be outstanding to have. Problem is, how much would he push Dalton...haha. Good problem to have.

That's a pretty bold statement given that Drew Brees holds the record for most passing yards in a single season, is a six time probowler, a super bowl mvp and a likely hall of famer. But hey..... Why not?

Moore has everything Brees has. Really smart, extremely accurate, doesn't have the strongest arm, but you don't need it in that offense and lets be honest Brees doesn't either. At the very worst I see Moore as a slightly better Chad Pennington. And Pennington was a really good QB.

He's not even ranked among the top 10 at his position...... Dalton was a much better prospect coming out of college.

Now you're getting there..... Comparing a guy that is a likely third day pick with Drew Brees is just silly. Chad Pennington might be a decent comparison, but keep in mind Chad was a 1st rounder. He graded out quite well with many scouts.

Kellen Moore doesn't grade out real well because of the style offense he ran, and the lack of quality defenses he faced in that conference. Kellen Moore is a victim of circumstances surrounding him, not a vicyim of his own devices.

He is an excellent QB and we would be ridiculously lucky to have him here as our backup incase anything happened to Dalton.

Last I checked, Andy Dalton did not run a pro-style offense and did not face to BCS-quality defense.

Well then it is because of his height and mobility I guess. Kellen Moore made Boise State a powerhouse in his 4 seasons there. They will fall completely off the face of the BCS the second he is drafted. He was the heart and soul of that team and the sole reason they were as good as they were.

His completion percentage got better each year, his TD totals went up and the guy never had worse than an 8.2 YPA, with as high as a 10.04 YPA in 2010. For what ever reason, he is not getting the attention he should, and that is all t he better for us. As I said, we are not drafting him to be our starter anyways, he would be Dalton's backup, something we could use improvement on when you have Gradkowski.

I don't know why he does not get more love, but he is a 1st round talent that is dropping for some reason outside his control. Smart kid, with a accurate arm that puts a team on his back as a leader and carries them single handedly to a couple BCS games.

Additions

QB - I would include Russell Wilson, and stay as far away as possible from Jacory Harris. The kid can't throw to the right team. I would be very surprised if he even gets drafted. I would hardly say Kellen Moore has a 'great arm'

WR - add Danny Coale from VT and AJ Jenkins from Illinois

DE - Donte Paige-Moss from UNC

OL - Brandon Brooks from Miami Univ

RB - Vick Ballard from A&M

Boise had won a BCS bowl prior to Kellen Moore and will most definitely not 'fall off the face of the BCS' the second he is drafted in the 6th round.

Did you really put Jacory Harris on that list? Unless you need a moving tackling dummy for practice stay away from him. Moore would be a good backup I think as well. I agree with others he does not have a "great arm". He is smart and accurate though.

Kellen Moore is not BSU football - That program has developed some significant talent over the past decade and isn't going to fall off the map because Moore is gone.

Significant talent? I was curious, who are the "stars" in the NFL from BSU? I am only asking, because I am ignorant of the subject. I know a couple WR's were drafted from there in the last couple years, but I am just not familiar with anyone else, especially any star in the league. Significant talent to me would mean that in the last 5 years, 3 or 4 players from BSU are stars in this league right now.
