I'm sure some Supernerd out there with 2,000 brackets and a scenario generator still has a perfect one left
It's amazing how people can get perfect brackets through the 1st round. Talk about luck.
LOL at CBS Sports website bragging the their "Model" went 27-5 in the first round. Even the friggin seeds were 26-6! They picked 1 whole extra game right. I have 2 simple model I created in like an hour that were 28-4 and 30-2.
I said it before and I will say it again. Thanks for nothing CBS sports.
dont forget..there was 1 or 2 lower seeds favored. so there is that 1 whole extra game.
Makes you wonder why the NCAA does not bring in some Vegas experts to help with the seeding.
Because seeding is supposed to be based on resume, what the team has previously accomplished throughout the season.
But Vegas instead bases its lines on current strength of the team and how the teams match up, not on resume. That's why Vegas consistently picks winners correctly more often than tournament seedings do.
Not buying it. The committee looks at the recent games as one of their criteria to get into the tourney. I think they try to rank them, but they use RPI mostly and that is not one of the better ranking systems.
