Found this article very interesting. If I'm understanding it correctly, which I may not be, I think it's just how Vegas would rank teams in terms of who the favorites would be to cut down the nets. I don't know, maybe I'm wrong, but definitely thought it was interesting.

Two notable things from the bracket: Iowa is a #1 seed, and Texas missed the field altogether.

Many gripes here, but I will stick up for my team:

To say that Texas does not even get in the tournament is asinine. They may end up a 4 seed.

Most metrics and future predictors have iowa as a top 6 team so a 1 seed isnt that shovking coming from.vegas. The texas deal is fucked though

ha, so much can change, conference tournaments and such...still some big games........like i think pitt realistically is a 4 if theyre luck to a and possibly 7 seed right now...........I see them as a 5.........

But if they won the acc tourney, you dont think they would get a two, and at absolute worst a 3

Pitt needs some high quality wins. 0 vs the top 25, 1 vs the top 50. No bad losses or even average losses but got to get some wins vs top tier teams. Probably a 6 seed right now. Could maybe get as high ad a 3 but they probably cant lose more than 1 more

O i know, it just seems they value conference tourney champs heavily, teams that were 8-11 seeds jump to 4 seeds by winning their tourney

Most advanced metric system and predictor sites have Wichita anywhere from 13th-17th right now so a 4 seed is about right for a Vegas style bracket where their only motivation is to seed teams based on the likelihood of those teams winning on a neutral court. Fortunately for the Shockers they have a better RPI than they do other metric systems based off the fact that the RPI is designed to rank a teams resume not a teams ability so Wichita should be in line for a 1 or 2 seed if they continue to play well. They will most likely be underdogs in Vegas in their S16 game though which is what this particular bracket is based off of.
