That's weird. I saw just now that Ramona Shelbourne reported that he has been showing small signs of improvement.
That was Wednesday night, but as of Thursday, realgm reported that four of his organs are in failure. One of those four is his kidneys. It really does not look good

Yes, because after all, everyone has the same level of coping skills, same upbringing, same education, etc. But hey, you know people who went through tough times and handled it in a positive way, so that means everyone else in the world must react the same way.

I know people who went through tough times and handled it positively. I know people who went through tough times, handled it negatively and then turned things around later. I also know a couple of people who never pulled themselves out of it.
I've seen people commit suicide at all ages, I've seen some overdose at various ages as well. I agree that Lamar has had better and more opportunities than most, but if I remember correctly - he lost a son a few years ago and I have seen three people go through that and no one really knows what the man went through when that happened and it is something that the average person never recovers from. Money and good life does not take away of seeing some one that close to you die.

Okay, as I understand it, some of you who normally are in the politics room(you really need to go back to that pit hole where you belong) say that because Lamar has had basic skills and talents to bring him success and money, that you don't give a crap what happens to him, you don't care if he lives or dies, you could care less about his family and friends and you have no sympathy for him. I understand, so since you don't care

Why don't you just leave and not come back. Then the rest of us who are compassionate human beings alone?

Weeds legal here and it's only about 4 hours to Vegas and the hookers.

The only thing not legal here is the prostitution and brothels - we need to get with the times so we can tax them suckers

Finally some fucking logic. Ill look forward to drinking with you someday out on the border as we hunt for illegals.
the only hunting you should be doing is hunting for a psychiatrist and straight jacket.

We need a poll... after that much viagra.. even in a coma..

Does he still have a boner?

Gotta lighten up the mood in here a bit... I am sure Lamar would appreciate it. I am not sure if I were him if I would want to survive this.. because he will be real messed up afterwards based on all the reports.

I should probably tell you a story about a guy that I know who was VERY lost out there who was using and DEALING that poison through most of his existence. turned out he hit rock bottom and not only bounced back and made something of himself, but does his best now to try to get others out of that situation because he lived it. see, some CAN be redeemed...

course a story like that is probably lost on a guy like him...:rolleyes2:
Redemption can happen & I like to hear about those types of stories. I hope Lamar pulls through and he can get the help he truly needs. I know a lot about that life, have a few family members that have gone down that path - some have come back from it where others have not- and it's scary. It's hard to stand by and watch loved ones destroy their lives but there isn't much of a choice. It really took me a long time to understand that.

Its too bad odo. Didnt sh

It just enables them to do it again when they get better.
I feel really bad for you. Your hard core attitude leads me to believe you were raised without compassion or affection in your life. You truly do not know what you're missing without those characteristics.

There are lots of folks that had difficult childhoods but didn't turn to drugs or alcohol. As an adult he is responsible for his actions and shouldn't be pitied for poor decisions he made in his lifetime.
Yes this is true, however, it is also true that the majority of people raised in a similar background as Lamar DO continue the cycle and become addicted to something.

The man was born with natural athletic ability and made millions of dollars playing a kids game but chose to become a boozer and a drug abuser despite all this. I have empathy for folks that suffer from serious illnesses and others that have struggled to earn an honest living.
Sometimes we have to look beyond materialistic things and monetary values. Lamar lost his mother at 12 and his dad is an addict. Those are the two main sources from which kids learn life skills, such as, coping mechanisms, love, support, etc. Do you think without a support system in place you would've been able to successfully teach yourself these things and apply them to life as necessary? How can we judge him for not being able to do that? Parents are a critical part of a child's life from birth until young adulthood. In most cases we shape the person our kids will become. I wish more people thought about that before having kids.

The correct word in my opinion is not pitied. The correct term is compassion and then assistance. Help him to help himself. The problem for all of us including Guns and Guitar who would throw Lamar into the trash can, is that none of us have looked into the mind or soul of Lamar and we don't know what's inside. We don't know what kind of person he can become and how much good he could do if he turns things around. That is going to be up a greater power then any of us and some of it will be up to Lamar Odom if he makes it. I, however choose to have compassion and prayers for Lamar not for Lamar only, but for his family because some one out there is hurting and they need our support and for all we know it might even be some one in here going through the same thing

That's not your call or decision to make. You do have the right to feel that way, but you don't have the right to come in here or any where else and be telling others how to feel about another human being. It sounds like to me, however that perhaps the drugs and abuse isn't the issue. It sounds like you're just jealous because he's had a better life than you and perhaps even enjoy seeing Lamar burn himself out. That's pretty cold blooded if you ask me.
