Anyone remember 2017 when it was cool to protest everything and anything?

The protest (40 people) started by a 22 year old kid who does not even live in LA.
A where is he pointing the finger? ...well ESPN wrote a story about it, so you know it's not at Lebron.

Unbelievable. The Lakers go and get Lebron and because he completely shits the bed this season ...it's the Lakers decision making that is at fault????

That is only true if you are taking about the decision to get Lebron in the first place.

Playoff mode activated.

Not to show my ignorance, but what would Rambis be getting fired from?

Depends on which Rambis.

Kurt is some sort of an "advisor" and his wife Linda is in charge of Special Projects.

Linda doesn't necessarily need to be fired, but she sure as heck shouldn't be involved in any basketball decisions.

Kurt is a failed head coach and really hasn't shown that he has any business working in an NBA FO. He really doesn't have much business being involved in decisions like Head Coach or PBO.

Yes. They are doing things backwards. It's hard to criticize Lebron for how the season turned out. There were way too many injuries to overcome.

But when you look at the AD debacle, the way they handled everything re: Luke's job security, the way Magic left and the fact that they have been trying to hire a head coach before a PBO and it all speaks to problems with decision making.

The Lakers got the great Lebron James. "The King" ...he played 60 games.
He gave you 2 more wins than you had last year without him. 2 !!!

In what universe is that acceptable?

With the money you pay him, things go south ...everyone gets the blame but Lebron, Lebron being the de-facto general manager of what ever team he is on, and the perpetual condescending comments about teammates ...

You add all that up and it's the most expense 2 wins in professional sports history.

Straight unfair to what he has done to the Lakers. If nothing else ..he can't step the fuck up and take some blame for any of it??

Sad.

Sad.

The Lakers organizational culture is easily bottom 5 in the NBA right now. Nobody seems to know who is in charge and they continue to bungle fairly straight forward moves like hiring the head coach of their choice.

In this case, yes. The decision makers deserve more blame than LeBron.

The only thing I'd blame James for is not being realistic to the prospects for any type of success this season. Everybody knew they were going to suck this year. He could have rolled with it and said "yeah, this hurts, but there's a lot of young guys on the squad and this is going to be a year to grow for us", but that's contrary to everything he's ever done in the league. That's why I'd never want him unless it were a 1 year deal and the team is a LeBron James away from a title.

In the universe where the Lakers also lost 2 other starters for 30 games each and a their primary backup at pg for another 17 games, they were lucky to improve by 2 wins.

With the money you pay him, things go south ...everyone gets the blame but Lebron, Lebron being the de-facto general manager of what ever team he is on, and the perpetual condescending comments about teammates ...

No, the injuries get the majority of the blame for them not making the playoffs. The AD debacle that ruined much of the team chemistry and the mess that the FO currently is falls on the decisions made by the FO.

If the rumors that Lebron has been trying to quietly recruit Kawhi are true, he might be the only one who actually is trying to do something to actually improve the team for next year.
