No, the voting was done before the playoffs, so nothing we see now will factor into the year-end awards.

He's one of my favorites. Guy is the definition of consistency.

Some Lady Byng trivia:

The last defenseman to win the award was Red Kelly in '53-'54. It was the second year in a row that he had won it.

Bruins defenseman Bill Quackenbush won the award in '48-'49 after not registering a single penalty minute in 60 games.

The last player to win the Hart and Lady Byng in the same season was not The Great One. It was Joe Sakic in 2000-2001.

I know. It doesn't make thinis any more compelling, but I thought it was pretty cool.

The annual Datsyuk trophy & I have no problem with it. To be honest I don't think he gets enough pub. I know he's got a lot of talent around him but, he's a great player.

St. Louis wants out of Tampa. At 35 he can still play at a high level. I wonder what the asking price will be? What's his contract status?
