I have long been a Kyrie detractor for two reasons. While in Cleveland, he dominated the ball too much and played very little defense.

Now in Boston, he looks like an entirely different player. He isn't holding the Ball nearly as much, he is doing a better job creating shots for teammates and he is even playing pretty solid defense.

The reason I couldn't stand him was because of his selfish style. The Guy I see wearing Celtic green isn't the same player at all. This version of Kyrie looks like a legit top 10 player.

I told you he'd be good in Boston.....motherfuckers on here were saying he isn't an elite player when he wanted out.

Reggie Jackson needs to go to the Brad Stevens point guard camp

He had a weak "coach" in Cleveland. I use quotes around the word coach because James truly coaches that team, not Lue. His coach in Boston won't put up with that ball hog stuff.

Good coaching and a player being motivated can do wonders. He's had the tools to be a good defender, he just never gave a shit.

Also, Brad Stevens is Basketball Jesus

Tell me what?

You told me he was great last year. He was a 1 dimensional scorer. This year, his game has a lot more substance. Night and day difference.

He wasn't an elite player. He is creeping up on it now though.

When Hayward went down I figured the Cs would struggle to make the playoffs but with Kyrie directing things and some surprises from the supporting cast they've ripped off 9 straight. It's early but I like that even when he's having an off night he's still not shy about taking the "must have" shot down the stretch. You can see the confidence he has that he will get a good shot.

Gonna be fun to watch this year.

People were bagging on him like he was just an average player......and he wouldn't do shit without James because didn't do shit before James got there. He's showing people he can play and be a leader.
