Kaminska is the minor league pitcher who came over from the Marlins with Gaby Sanchez in exchange for Gorkys Hernandez and that 2013 draft pick. Seems that he pitched a very nice game in his first start for Bradenton (that's the good news) after being demoted from Altoona and switched from the bullpen to starting.
Here's a current article from MiLB on Kaminska:

The bad news is that Kaminska will be 24 in October and is back at class A Bradenton, after pitching at the AA and AAA levels as a reliever earlier in the season (not too effectively, by the way).

I hadn't heard of the guy before he was acquired by the Pirates..... can't tell whether or not he's a legitimate prospect. Since Gaby Sanchez likely is deemed to hold more value than Gorkys Hernandez, I'm guessing that Kaminska was deemed to be of LESS value than that 2013 draft pick..... to balance out the trade.
Does anyone know anything about Kaminska? Is he a prospect?
