Apparently Dan Koppen was carted off the practice field but was able to walk into the locker room under his own power. Hopefully it's not serious. If so, paging Mr. Saturday

Sounds a lot more serious now, Jason La Canfora said that his MRI wasn't good. And now Glazer is reporting that they fear a torn ACL

That is not good. I hope we can get a good replacement center soon.

Might be that we are looking at center as a need next offseason.

Very bad news, I saw saturday signed on with ESPN. I wonder if he would be willing to come back for one more year. Are there any other teams out there with depth at center we could possibly trade with?

I said to the Fiancé earlier "I wonder if PFM has called Jeff Saturday yet"......great minds.

I have been saying this for a while but when Kuper gets off the PUP list I think he should start working at Center. He played the position some in college and when drafted by the Broncos they worked him out some at the position so it is not like he is stepping into something completely unfamiliar. He also has been the OL Captain for years so I don't think having to make all the calls among the OL would be a big deal to him. Just my 2 cents though.

What's the word on Blake? Any chance he'll finally rise to the occasion?

Not sure I like Ramirez there. Opposing teams targeted him hard as a guard with success. And now he's our center? Not liking that vibe.

Nothing I've read has Blake starting, or even challenging for the spot. I have no clue why. He can't be much worse than Manny

Blake last year before his injury was starting to look better in practice. So far this year I haven't read anything on him but it wouldn't surprise me if we start hearing a few more reports about him now.

My guess right now is either Ramirez or Kuper is the starting Center until Walton can return from injury. Heard Walton had a set back though as his surgery brought about an infection on his leg

From what I understand, Late October-November was an optimistic outlook for Walton anyway, so who knows how much further this will actually set him back. Kuper's still a ways away too, from what I understand. Blake can't be THAT bad if he successfully replaced Walton at Baylor. :noidea:

I am curious as to who on defense is breaking all the centers?

I don't think Kuper will be making a transition to center. I think his injury has really hampered him. I wonder if the coaches really want someone with experience. Blake has yet to play a game at what would be a very important position.

Bad time to be a Broncos center. Hopefully, the next guy steps up and stays healthy.

Experience or not, can't possibly believe Ramirez is our best choice, even temporarily (if Walton is able to return soon).

I'm reading that Jeff Saturday has slimmed down to about 230 lbs. now. I don't think he's an option.

He was only marginal for the Packers anyway. Was replaced as starter midway through last season.

Amano appears to be the best one available, but I think he's still holding out for a multi-year deal.

Trust me you dont want Jeff Saturday. Living here in Wisconsin and watched all Packers games the guy was terrible and finished. He lost his job during the year and the Packers o line was awfull last year.

Kuper asked today about playing center when he gets healthy and said he would definitely practice at center

Any idea how far away "Kuper" and "healthy" are from colliding in the same sentence?
