Apparently Lauvao made his growing injury worse by trying to play guard in roller skates last week. So Kojo has been taking first team snaps at LG in practice all weeks and it looks like he will get the start. Lets hope he does well as it would be nice to have a plan in place that involves lauvao becoming a backup or expendable at the end of the season. By all accounts, he is a nice guy. But we need better production from the position.

Not sure this is an upgrade, Fletcher Cox has had 2 wet dreams so far this week.

Not a fan, but it's time. Lauvao cost us the game. I know a lot of factors play into a loss, but that one play changed the game. You just can't get put on ice like that. Not to mention the two false starts. Rooting for him and looking forward to eating a big plate of crow Sunday.

Hopefully Cujo won't break Leftout's record in the backwards 40 if he plays.

We need better production but not sure at this point Kujo is ready or even an upgrade. Couldn't beat out Lauvao this past off season who came off multiple surgeries and really wasn't ready to go until week 1. Why not insert Nyseke somewhere since he is one of our best 5 linemen? Are you telling me Kojo is better at the moment? I beg to differ and don't want to hear crap about Nyseke not playing guard. Neither has TW and he faired just fine. Wish Long was healthy so we could insert him at LG and leave Sullivan at C.

Ty is questionable for this week with injury. And while I agree he might be a better solution if healthy, his height might cause issues in other areas. Kojo was a project coming in, hence his being drafted in the 4th round. I like that he is actually healthy at the moment and will get some playing time in a meaningful game. Now it could kick us squarely in the nuts. But after what we have seen from Lauvao the past two weeks, we need to at least see if the kid has improved.

I have heard the argument about Ty being 6'8" and the possibility of losing leverage does come into account however, he returned immediately after the play in which he was hurt. I would take Ty at 90% right now over Kojo with everything Ty has shown us the past 4 weeks. Also at 6'8", 335 lbs plus, it will take some effort to "beat" him one on one. He may even be our MVP the past 4 games in which some would argue he replaced our best player and one of the top 3 LT's in the game.
My hats off to Ty for what he accomplished!

Hats off to him. But Ty has not practiced at all this week. So Im guessing he is a tad bit below that 90% number.

You also have to consider that Guards need to be much more mobile that tackles, they pull on many plays. Not sure Ty, even when healthy, has that kind of mobility.

Tackle requires the best athletes though. They need great feet because they operate in space. Guards are mostly in a phone booth but they need more speed for pulling. Tackles pull also, just depends on the play.

How would you rate Kujo's play today vs Eagles?

He did well enough. What I hope most noticed is how much Trent adds. Ty played well in his absence but he never played to the level Trent played at today. I thought Sullivan looked okay too.

The fact that he's not a major topic of discussion the way Lauvao was last week says a lot. Can't say I watched him on every play, but I noticed he moved well when he pulled. I think you gotta keep him in there even if Lauvao is healthy for next week. A spoon full of crow for me. Not a plate, but a spoon full.

Saw a couple negative plays but thought he was solid for the most part.
