As TJF12 has already stated, this is the first year in Kobe's career where he is fully healed because he played just seven games last year. I think he is probably very rested and can't wait to get back to playing. That alone would contribute a great deal to his positivity.

The Lakers success hinges completely on Kobe's health. The Lakers will make some noise if he gets back near his level of play pre-Achilles injury. He practically got them into the playoffs by himself a couple seasons ago. All signs from him point to being back 100%. I can't wait to see where he's at come training camp.

It's hard to believe Kobe being anything but positive. That's one of the things that makes him great.

He's still obviously an impact player, but he needs some guys that can play the game surrounding him. Let's hope the Lakers work some magic and fashion a championship caliber squad.
