We all knew this season was a complete waste, Phil has dumped salary and put the Knicks in position to be able to get two high caliber players and a lottery pick next year. It has been painful to watch but hopefully we will be rewarded next year.

The Knicks are not only horrible, but they're not in a great position to turn it around either... At least w/ MIN, they're loaded w/ young talent like Wiggins, Lavine, & Pekovic. Add another top 5 player w/ that group, and they have a nucleus that can grow together like guys did in OKC.

What do the Knicks have? Melo's giant contract & scraps. Plus, w/ Melo at age 30 now, NY has to be in win-now mode. If they draft a rookie now, it'll be 2-3 yrs. before that guy will develop into a dependable running mate for Melo, and by then Melo will be on a decline...
