Anyone see that he played 25:34 minutes last game. I know that Pronger is out, but come one. We have enough depth that this should not happen.

Rookie goaltender, first game, first game IN PITTSBURGH, first game AGAINST PITTSBURGH, first game IN THE CONSOL. I can see why Lava played him that much.

with pronger out he's our number 1 defenseman, and number one dmen tend to get 22-25+ minutes in big games like that

Yea, he was the only guy to play more than 23 minutes. Only in blowouts do #1 guys play less than 22 minutes. This isn't anything to be concerned about. If he's playing 28+ a night every night, then I'd be concerned. But not 25.

I'm more impressed that Giroux was the only forward to get more than 18 minutes, and he was only a few seconds away from 20.

don't forget that pp time skews that figure. in a normal game he will get 4 or so more minutes than defensemen 4,5 and 6 in pp time.
