Kids Weekend

I posted this on the Devils board, but may was well open the discussion up to everyone.

Before the Devils scored their first goal, Chico was talking about how its Kids Weekend up in MTL where they have back to back day games for kids. I think if the NHL did this on Super Bowl weekend by having teams that play in the same local area have home and home games (NJ Vs NY, Tampa Vs Fla, Pitt Vs Philly, The Cali teams) it would be a good way to promote the game, and then they'll have another rivalry games 2 weeks later with Hockey Day In America. Any thoughts?

are you talking about early games on weekends, so more families can go?
seems like a good idea.

In my town, they have priced families out of the market anyways.

Early games, but specifically in state rivalry games. The teams are gonna have to play 6 times anyway, why not knock out two of them in a home and home weekend?

seeing that i have to leave after the 2nd anytime i take lil bizzle to a game, i am all for anything that brings more early games into the mix.

just make it 5pm instead of noon, you know, after nap.
