- Today's KHL draft was the most nonsensical and outlandish event in history of hockey. Novokuzentsk picked 6 times in a row, to get 1 player. They kept picking Ak Bars juniors and Ak Bars kept protecting them. Wound up giving up and taking one of their own
- The 24th pick of today's KHL draft was traded five times, twice by the same team and once by the league.
- One last KHL draft gem. Ak Bars acquired a total of 5 first-round picks from Dinamo Riga and Atlant. All for cash.
