"Bears placed WR Kevin White on injured reserve with a severe high-ankle sprain that also resulted in a broken fibula.
After suffering a stress fracture in his shin last year that costed White his entire rookie offseason program and regular season, White is now dealing with another severe lower-leg injury. He'll be out a minimum of eight weeks but very easily could miss the rest of the year. It's a real concern for White's development, as he's already shown to be slow in learning an NFL offense and turns 25 next offseason. In White's absence, Alshon Jeffery will hopefully go back to alpha-dog status as an elite WR1. Cameron Meredith will see the biggest boost in snaps out wide."
