Coach Riley is reportedly seriously considering him. For those of you don't know, he's a former Nebraska assistant under Tom Osborne. He actually had a child born here. He's 56 years old. He served under T.O from '89 to '94 as the LB coach.

He's currently a lead recruiter and LB coach under Nick Saban at Alabama and is Saban's most highly thought of assistant.

He also served under Bobby Bowden at Florida State.

Osborne, Bowden, Saban. Not a terrible list of coaches to learn the ropes from.

Nebraska: According to the Omaha World-Herald, Mike Riley has targeted Alabama linebackers coach / special assistant to the head coach Kevin Steele to possibly join his staff. Steele was Nebraska’s linebackers coach from 1989-94.

Nebraska: Mike Riley admits he’s thinking about the possibility of adding Oregon offensive coordinator / quarterbacks coach and former Nebraska QB Scott Frost to his staff.

I'm thinking the same thing. Still no word of who the OC is going to be. We better end up with a pretty powerful offense because from the looks of Banker's record we're going to get scored on a LOT.
